    Run an antivirus scan regularly!!!

Malicious viruses from websites you visit may find their way to your computer. Every time you log on to the internet, you are exposed to the danger of attracting potentially damaging virus. If these are left unchecked, they may cause severe system damage as well as security breach. A regular virus scan using an updated anti-virus definition will help protect you from these threats.

If you are unsure that your computer is protected, fell feel free to contact us:

Thank you to Allan Siegel of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport for his informative talk about the expansion of the south runway.  Quite an impressive project that will bring about 11,000 jobs!  Did you know that the runway will actually go OVER Federal Highway?!!  Did you know that for every 90 tourists that visit there is one NEW JOB created?  I enjoyed sitting with Steve Forman author of BOCA KNIGHTS and thanks to him for donating a door price: his latest book:  BOCA DAZE.  Thanks to our other door prize donations from George Bosselman, International Business Facilitator with New Brunswick Industries, Stacy Silbiger with City National Bank, and Craig Winograd of Winning Information Technology.. did I miss anyone?

We heard two great presentations at Friday's Leads Group A meeting at City National bank (hosted by Stacy Silbiger..thank you).  Neal Lavikof, mortgage broker,  brought us up to date on the new options for FANNIEMAE and FREDIE MAC mortgage holders to refinance without appraisals at great new interest rates beginning March 15.  Did you know that he just did an FHA loan at 3% for 15 years fixed rate?  WOW!     Marty Nathan, Pshchologist,  told us about the "Apps" in our brain... did you know we can be reprogramed?  Great business leads, fascinating people... and I won't even start on who likes the Giants or the Patriots!!!   Who do you know that should join our group?

I found this article on the Sun-Sentinel web site.  It's a quick read and very informative.  Consider this advice from industry experts.

Shop around. Too many consumers don't take advantage of the competition among insurers for policies, said Alex Hageli, director of personal lines policy at the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America.

Check for discounts. Discounts can lower rates for good students, senior citizens, people who haven't had tickets in the past few years, and people who work for certain companies or are members of professional or alumni associations.

Consider dropping some coverage. "A general rule of thumb is that if the car is worth less than 10 times what you pay for insurance coverage, it may not be cost effective to continue collision and comprehensive coverage," McChristian wrote in an email.

Avoid extra fees. Don't pay for rental car coverage if you don't plan to use one or for towing coverage if you're a member of an automobile club that provides roadside assistance. If you can pay your premium upfront, you could save on administrative fees that are typically charged for monthly or quarterly payments.

Increase your deductible. This is a particularly good option for people who don't drive a lot and are good, defensive drivers.

Check your credit score. You can check it online for free once a year, Hageli said. Dispute inaccurate information in the report. In the meantime, if you suspect the score is unfairly affecting your insurance premium, ask your insurance company whether it's a factor in determining the premium and if it can be removed.
